When the pulp inside your tooth, which includes the nerve and blood vessels, becomes infected or damaged due to trauma, a root canal needs to be done. This process involves the removal of the pulp and then the subsequent sealing of the nerve canals and pulp chamber. Whenever a root canal has been completed, a permanent crown will be needed to properly protect the remaining tooth structure. Drs. Nick and Nate Pound provide the majority of the root canals needed by our patients. Those patients with teeth having limited access or very restricted canals will be referred to a specialist.
